All Teddy could do was sit and grieve
In a toy store window on Christmas Eve.

"I can't walk, I can't skate, and who wants to play
With a plain old bear on Christmas Day?"

"All these new toys are much better than me.
They have television shows that all the kids see."

With that Teddy paused, "Will anyone listen?"
But nobody noticed the bear tear glisten.

He sat back, got comfy, the store would soon close.
He fell asleep and dreamt bear dreams nobody knows.

When all of a sudden, he awoke with a start.
A man rushed into the store, Teddy clutched at his heart.

The man said to the clerk "I need a toy -
One that opens young hearts and in rushes joy"

"I need something special, that brings only love -
One that makes angels sing from heaven above."

The clerk turned to Teddy, said "This is the one -
Give him to the child, he's warm as the sun"

The man looked at Teddy with his big red bow,
Gave him a hug and took him in tow.

That little teddy, his dreams all came true,
To give love and rainbows to somebody new -

Sitting under a tree with a child who would play
With that one special Teddy on Christmas Day.
